The QNAP Network Video Recorder (4-channel) enables remote surveillance and recording. Supporting real-time remote monitoring, video recording, and playback from network cameras, the NVR is suitable for places like small and medium-size businesses or small/home offices.
The Network Video Recorder supports H.264, MPEG-4, and M-JPEG recording formats and a storage capacity of up to 1 TB which is expandable to 2 TB though an external eSATA device. With features like Live Video Monitoring, Digital Zoom, Pre-alarm and Post-alarm Recording, and Preset Position Control and Auto Cruising, the unit delivers high-quality surveillance.

Recording
The NVR supports high quality recording formats - H.264, MPEG-4, and M-JPEG recording. The unit allows scheduled, continuous, or manual recording. Events triggered by motion detection or any sensor can be recorded with the alarm recording function. Recording schedules can be set for different cameras, with each camera supporting 15 schedules.
Multi-server Monitoring
You can monitor up to 120 channels from multiple QNAP NVR servers on a remote PC over LAN or WAN.
Supports Streaming from Network Cameras and Server
The monitoring displays are streamed from the network cameras and the NVR server.
Live Video Monitoring
For live video monitoring, the NVR supports different video modes - 1/ 4/ 6/ 8/ 9/ 10/ 12/ 16/ 20/ 25/ 36/ 42-channel and sequential display mode, exclusive Picture-in-Picture mode, and multi-display mode.

Event Notification on Monitoring
An alarm icon is viewed on the monitoring page when an event occurs. In case you need the alarm details, you can get it by clicking on the icon.
