Display Order of the Monitoring Channels
The NVR allows you to change the display order of the monitoring channels - you just need to select the IP cameras on the drop down menu or drag and drop them.
Generic IP Camera Support
Using an interface provided by the NVR, you can enter the JPEG CGI command of IP cameras to receive the video and audio streaming data from the IP cameras, and monitor, record, and playback the video of the IP cameras on the NVR.
Audio Recording
The NVR supports audio recording, which varies by camera models.
High Performance 8-Megapixel Recording
The NVR supports up to 8-megapixel recording from various IP cameras.
Smart Control of PTZ & Speed Dome Cameras
You can adjust the PTZ cameras by the web user interface directly.
Preset Position Control and Auto Cruising
Different preset positions of the camera can be viewed, using the number buttons on the monitor page. With the auto cruising feature, the PTZ cameras can be configured to cruise according to the preset positions and the staying time set for each preset position.
Event Notification on Monitoring
An alarm icon is viewed on the monitoring page when an event occurs. In case you need the alarm details, you can get it by clicking on the icon.
Pre-alarm and Post-alarm Recording
The NVR records additional details before and after an event occurs.
Advanced Event Management
You can define actions such as multi-channel recording, adjusting the IP camera to the preset monitoring point, alarm output, email or SMS alert when an alarm is triggered.
Real-time SMS and Email Alert
In case of system error or emergent events, SMS and alert e-mails are sent to the administrator immediately.
E-map for Easy Preview of the Camera Location
With the E-map function, you can upload the images of the monitoring locations.
Video Snapshot
The NVR offers real-time snapshot viewing and allows you to take a snapshot of the monitoring screen at any given time.
Multi-channel Playback at Different Speeds
You can playback the recording data from different monitoring channels. The Express Quad View Playback allows you to either load four consecutive cameras to play or divide the selected time equally into 4 playback views.
Easy Data Search by Date & Time, Timeline, Event, Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA)
You can search recording data quickly by date and time, timeline, event and intelligent video analytics such as motion detection, missing object, foreign object, out of focus, camera occlusion, etc.
Enhanced File Security by Digital Watermark
With the digital watermark technology, you can ensure file security as recorded files cannot be tampered with.
Recordings Can Be Played by Windows Media Player
You do not need to install unique programs or convert the files to other formats to play. The NVR allows you to play the files in Windows Media Player.
Flexible Adjustment of the Length of Recording Files
You can flexibly adjust the length of the recording files.
Powerful Schedule Remote Replication
With the remote replication feature, you can copy the recording data of the local VioStor to a remote QNAP network attached storage (NAS, TS-509) in the local network.
Advanced Event Logs
The NVR offers event logs of system warnings, hard disk errors, network disconnection, UPS status, users' networking services, and recordings access record.
Easy to Use
Easy Installation
The NVR can be installed easily and quickly, following six simple steps.
Smart Search of IP Camera for Quick Settings
With the intelligent software utility finder, you can search IP camera and system settings quickly.
Convenient Quick Link Buttons of Network Camera
The Quick Link Buttons can be used to access the management interface in order to configure the network cameras.
Hardware Design
Intel Atom CPU and 1 GB DDRII Memory
The NVR, powered by Intel Atom CPU and 1 GB DDRII memory, offers high performance for surveillance applications.
Linux Embedded System with Low Power Consumption
The NVR saves more power than PC-based surveillance solutions.
Power Consumption
Smart Fan
The fan rotation speed is automatically adjusted as per the server's temperature. The system temperatures can be defined to trigger high speed or low speed rotation of the fan.
Dual Gigabit LAN Ports
Two Gigabit LAN ports are available for load balancing, failover, or multi-IP setting.
2 High-speed SATA Hard Drives
The NVR supports 2 high-speed SATA hard drives, enhancing recording and playback performance.
Up to 4 TB Storage Capacity for Long-term Recording
The NVR offers a storage capacity of up to 4 TB.
DOM Architecture with Embedded Fail-safe Dual OS
The OS and all the applications are embedded on the DOM. Since the NVR allows the system to boot without accessing the physical disk sectors, system startup is not interrupted due to any bad block sectors or file errors on the hard drives. Two operating systems offer alternative system booting options upon every system startup. If one fails, the other one will be used to boot up instead. The failed OS is recoverable from the other healthy OS.
Lockable HDD Tray
The physical hard drives are protected by lockable HDD trays.
High Reliability and Smart Features
Advanced RAID 1 with Hot-swap Design
The NVR offers advanced RAID 0, 1, Single, and JBOD disk configurations, and supports hot-swap design. A failed drive can be replaced through hot swapping without turning off the server.
Online RAID Capacity Expansion
The existing hard drives can be replaced by larger ones in order to expand the storage capacity of a RAID configuration. You do not need to turn off the server for this purpose.
Online RAID Level Migration
You can upgrade the disk configuration to higher RAID level with the data retained and without the server needing to be turned off.
S.M.A.R.T. & Advanced HDD Health Scanning (HHS)
The hard disk status can be monitored with the Hard Disk Drive S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology). The HHS Technology supports disk checking and bad blocks scanning.
Intelligent Automatic System Startup When Power Recovery
With intelligent power-on support, the system turns on automatically when power resumes after power outage.
UPS System for 24x7 Service
APC and MGE UPS devices enable continuous recording. The system can resume its normal function in case of power outage or unstable power supply.
Convenient Video Backup to External USB Storage by One-Touch Auto Video Backup Button
The one-touch auto video backup button allows the recording data to be copied to the USB device immediately. You will need to press and hold the button for 3 seconds.
Powerful Security Control and Network Services
Authority Management
You can create different user groups - administrator, system manager, and user. You can also assign different rights of monitoring, playback, PTZ control, and audio monitoring.
Auto Logoff
You can set the timeout period to log off the users when the idling time is over.
Powerful Host Access Control
You can specify which connections are to be given access to NVR and which are not.
On-line User List
The on-line user list allows you to view the record of users currently logged on and those previously logged into the NVR.
Built-in DDNS Support
With the built-in DDNS support, a unique domain name can be registered from a DDNS service provider and assigned to the NVR.
Built-in NTP Server
The built-in NTP server, using the Network Time Protocol (NTP), synchronizes the date and time of the network cameras with the NVR.
Convenient Data Access
You can access the recording data on the NVR through the Network Neighborhood (SMB/ CIFS), Web File Management (HTTP), or FTP server.
