3000 Lumens And a 700:1 Contrast Ratio
That's enough projection power to create a large, bright image in a medium to large room even with enough ambient light so the audience can take notes or follow along with handouts. By combining a new generation of inorganic LCD panels that utilize Sony BrightEra technology with a powerful 210 watt lamp, this projector is excellent at bringing your presentations to life.
3LCD Projection System
Because the VPL-EX130 uses a 3LCD projection system, projected images are bright and natural. 3LCD is a projection system using three LCD panels (also known as high-temperature polysilicon or HTPS). This system provides high light transmission and excellent color reproduction. It also provides smooth gradients in dark areas, and even helps prevent color breakup.
Sony BrightEra Technology
This projector incorporates BrightEra technology, invented by Sony, which minimizes degradation of colors over time, achieves higher brightness and sharper images in even well-lit rooms—and delivers exceptional reliability and longevity.
Dynamic Detail Enhancer
Generates high quality images through the Interlace/Progressive conversion processor, resulting in extremely accurate image reproduction.
Smart APA (Auto Pixel Alignment)
Smart APA (Auto Pixel Alignment) automatically sizes and adjusts a PC image display for optimum picture performance. This allows you to concentrate on your presentation, rather than time-consuming technical adjustments.
Short-Throw Projection
Achieve a pin sharp 80-inch image (diagonal) from just less than 95 inches away making it ideal for presenting in small media rooms, meeting rooms and classrooms.
Direct Power On And Off And Go
Direct Power On allows you to skip standby mode to power on your VPL-130EX immediately. Direct Power On is ideal for large-scale facilities such as museums, auditoriums, and conference halls, with images ready for projection as soon as the circuit-breaker on the switchboard is turned on. You can unplug the projector as soon as it is switched off. There's no need to wait for the fan to turn off.
Two Power Saving Modes
  • Lamp Cutoff: Lamp cuts off if no signal is input for 10 minutes and lights again when a signal is input or any key is pressed.
  • Standby: The projector goes into standby mode if no signal is input for 10 minutes and power consumption reduced to less than 3W.
Security Features Protect Your Investment
Password access, control panel lock and security bar for an optional security cable can all help to prevent misuse, tampering and theft in classrooms or meeting rooms.
Built-In Optical Shift
A built-in 8 degree tilt angle gives a perfectly proportioned presentation on the screen or wall.
Long Lamp Life
The lamp life of VPL-EX130 is an impressive 5000 hours in standard mode thanks to the new lamp and control technology contained within the projector.
Image Freeze Function
Freeze the image displayed and make changes to your content without the audience knowing.
Easy to Use
The VPL-EX130's height adjuster is located at the back to make it easier to see the effects of moving it upon your projected image.
Digital Zoom (4x)
Magnify a portion of the image displayed by 4X.
19 Language Onscreen Display (OSD)
The OSD offers your choice of 19 Languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Norwegian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Thai, Arabic, Turkish, Polish and Vietnamese.
