The 7060 LED Rechargeable Police Flashlight was designed through a partnership between Pelican and the Los Angeles Police Department. This light is the standard tactical/patrol flashlight for all LAPD officers.
The Pelican 7060 employs dual-switch technology - this allows the light to be activated by either a body-mounted patrol switch or a tail-mounted tactical switch. Both switches offer momentary-on and constant-on activation. This configuration enhances the operator's ability to maintain full control of the light - regardless of the grip position.
Pelican has constructed the housing from a Xenoy/aluminum alloy that is non-ferrous and non-sparking, as well as corrosion and chemical-resistant. The entire system is o-ring sealed for water resistance, and there's a shock-absorbing spring-suspension system to protect the electronics from impact damage. The exterior sports an octagonal profile that resists rolling, and a tactile Grenade Grip patterning that provides secure handling with wet or gloved hands.
The 7060 is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery, and it delivers a 130 lumen white-light beam for 90 minutes. The beam is blindingly intense with a central hot-spot that reaches out quite far. The white-light illumination renders colors accurately, and while the beam's throw is quite long, there's enough of a diffuse corona for close-up tasks.
This package includes the 7060 light, one battery, one charger, and a basketweave holster.
