The JVC GZ-HD500 HD Everio Hard Drive Camera records your memories in 1920 x 1080 high definition to an 80GB HDD for up to 33 hours of footage. It also records to optional microSD/SDHC memory cards for even more storage. In addition, the GZ-HD500 also offers 1920 x 1080/60p output to HDTV, for viewing your video in the fullest HD quality possible, and the option to record in 24Mbps AVCHD bit rate.
At the core of this HD Everio you'll find a 1/5.8" 1.37MP CMOS image sensor. The camera also features a Konica Minolta HD lens with 20x optical zoom, and JVC's Advanced Image Stabilizer. Another key feature, the Laser Touch Operation LCD, gives you a touch-sensitive scroll bar and buttons for smooth operation of the camera, without mussing up the display with fingerprints and smudges.
When it comes to user-friendly features, the GZ-HD500 has current standards such as Face Detection and one-touch upload to YouTube, along with JVC's Everio MediaBrowser integrated PC software. The software lets you manage your files, play back clips, and helps you share. Other functions include Time-Lapse REC for watching slow-moving, long events, in a shortened playback time, and Auto REC for automatically recording footage when the camera detects movement.
