Rated 3 out of 5 by from Why consecutive charging? I would rather have a PARALLEL charging feature, instead of the consecutive charging feature. I keep asking myself what's the big benefit of having a dual charger, if I cannot charge two batteries at the same time? With a size like this, I really do not understand. Additional problem: the unit does not display the hours/minutes of operation one has, when using SONY-NP-FV70. The display shows nothing. Even after the battery has been fully charged! I do realize that the remaining hours of operation depend on the camera and whether or not the LCD screen is used... And yet,the unit's display properly shows a reasonable time remaining, when used with SONY-NP-FV30.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick charging of multiple batteries I use the AC-VQV10 to quickly get both my batteries fully charged before I head out for a shoot. It works fast, and automatically switches from charging the first battery to the second one so I don't have to mess with it. The LCD screen clearly indicates the charge level on each battery, so I can easily see how much more is left to go. It's light enough to throw in the bag if you're going on the road for a few days, too. If you use a Sony camera that takes V, H, or P batteries, and charging them is an important part of your routine, this thing is well worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy, Get One. I'm glad I purchased this charger, its nice to charge my batteries and keep my camcorder available for use. Also this charger charges faster then charging the batteries in the camcorder. The only thing that would be great is if it would charge 2 batteries at the same time, it charges one first and switches to the other one when done, but I know this when I purchased it. It tells you on the display how many hours of use is available on the battery, and how much time to fully recharge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does the job I purchased this to kill out 2 birds with one stone. My A/C cord died & I needed a charger anyway. It charges fairly quickly. However, the only thing I don't like about it is; it only does one or the other. (It will not charge the batteries while you are running the camera on A/C.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact! Nice, compact charger that quickly charges two batteries to a full charge. Easy to use. Easy to read. I am always run and gun with several camcorders, (large and small). This little charger fills the need for me to always have fresh batteries at hand for my smallest HD camcorder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast I couldn't believe how quickly the AC-VQ10 charged my batteries. Love this product. The read out is nice and clear ... showing how much battery life is available as well as how long it will take to charge. I guess my only complaint is I wish there was something available to make it adaptable with the other batteries I use ... for my DSLR. But for the products it's designed for ... it's a great charger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sony AC Adaptor/Charger Exceeds expectations. I've never liked using a video camera either as a battery charger or connected to a power cable that is then also tethered to a power supply that in turn is then tethered to an AC outlet. Not only do I not like using a double tethered camera when filming, but there is always the chance that when the camera is being used to charge one battery someone could inadvertently get tangled with the charging cord and knock the camera to the ground. Worse still is a smaller camera intermingled within a charging station, you would be surprised how easy it is to accidentally intertwine the power charging cable with other cables or one's hands which could lead to a nasty camera fall if the charging station and camera are above the floor.I have found additional reasons to like the sony series V, H, and P battery charger. The camera charger did not appear to charge the battery to full 100%, it topped out around 87% whereas when I then charged the same battery in my newly arrived sony tandem charger, the battery started at the 87% mark and then made it back up to 100%.The Sony charger will charge two batteries in tandem while also giving a charging countdown to a full charge for each battery while it is charging that battery. Simply click over to assess which battery has a fuller charge and then decide if it is more important to charge the battery that is already charged more or the battery with less of a charge. Different situations require different charging strategies. Either way, the charger automatically completes charging the selected battery and then automatically switchers over and starts charging the second battery.Another advantage of the sony tandem charger is it basically eliminates the need to get an info lithium battery with an led display on it, meaning additional batteries will cost less, which is another way the charger saves money elsewhere and justifies its already reasonable cost of around $ dollars. However, I do recommend carrying a flashlight since the digital readout cannot be read in very low lighting situations. This Sony charger charges 3 different types of info lithium batteries, Series V, H, & P. and, THERE IS NO MENU! All functions are displayed and activated via actual switches on the surface of the unit, Hooray! And of course, in an emergency the charger can act as a power supply for the camera. When used as a camera power supply I would recommend attaching the power supply/charger somewhere to the tripod or camera, and then having an extension cord going from the wall outlet to the power supply for added length. Sony does not recommend longer than a 10 foot power cord. I would not recommend keeping batteries on the charger when the charger is being used to power the camera since that could expose the batteries to weather conditions that could damage the battery. Ideally, since the batteries charge faster and fuller on the charger than on the camera, having 2 or 3 batteries available at all times should negate ever having to use the charger as a camera power supply. The Sony charger comes with two power cables, one to power the charger, the other with a more unique connector to power your Sony Camera when necessary. If I had a complaint, it would be nothing more than these chargers are so light and compact they are easily pilferable in the wrong situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AC-VQV10 a great battery charger I use the AC-VQV10 to charge my NP-FV70 batteries for a Sony NEX-VG10.The charger works fast compared to the charger that came with the video camera. The only thing that I was disappointed about was the cord that came with it inorder to use this charger as an AC adapter was not designed for the Sony NEX-VG10. Luckily the camera came with an AC adapter.
