The Fast Forward Video Omega Deck Digital Video Recorder is a broadcast quality DVR for industrial video applications. It offers the same level of performance that users are accustomed to in a professional VTR along with the convenience of non-linear based recording and playback. Video is recorded in the MJPEG compression format at 30 FPS and with a 4:2:2 chroma subsampling. For storage, this DVR uses the fast and reliable SCSI HDD system. Video can be compressed as low as 4:1 to save on storage space.
A backlit front panel touch screen provides easy menu access to setup and to change system parameters. There is also a jog-shuttle controller for reviewing the video backwards and forwards frame by frame and with variable speed. Advanced circuitry is employed to ensure a clean and stable picture through all these processes. An RS422 connector allows this DVR to be controlled from a local PC. PC control software is included.
