Yamaha KP65 Reviews
Good but a little weak
I have a DTX IV Express since some years ago and i cheked up the response is very good with a single and a double drum pedal, and really is irrepleaceble especially if you have three cymbals models like me. I had using a Roland kick but the response is not the same (i imagine this occur because exists some different technical diferences between the components of Yamaha and Roland, so each one function very good with the same trade mark) However the KP65 is a little weak particulary in the center. I had buyed two units in a year because i have a Tama drum pedal and this unit crash literally with this kind of hamer, so i am trying changing the hammer of the drum pedal to verify if the KP65 has a better lifespan with this change. I recomend this unit but maybe you need to verify your drum pedal hammer to increase the KP65 lifespan. By other side Yamaha maybe check the posibility of reforce this unit or at aleast inform about this situation to avoid the premature distruction of the product
Best kick pad you can buy
This is my second KP65, I bought the second one so I don't have to move the one I use for studio work at home, I've owned it over 10 years and have never had one problem with it! I play on a drum kat and this is the kick pad of choice for me! The other kick pads I used in the past didn't hold up, but this one always has, and it cost only a fraction of the others. Hands down THE Best Deal you will find, and will outlast the the other brands!
Amazing!!
I bought this item from last week and I'm currently using it to my Yamaha DD65. It is so amazing that my double pedal works too, and it has a volume adjustment that I can control in the back and touch sense with low noise rubber pad when I'm hitting it.. Im enjoying this tower kick. Its like a real acoustic. Rock on!
Great Kick Pad
On my carpet the velcro-ish strip on the bottom of the pad along with the spikes makes this thing solidly stuck to the ground...Even trying to make it slide or move, it wont.
