The Teac HD-1 HD Radio Receiver expands the radio dial by allowing access to local FM HD stations. The benefits of HD radio include more programs and subscription-free listening. The HD-1 also features iTunes tagging for saving songs you hear on the radio for future downloading from the popular iTunes music store.
In addition to the HD radio capabilities the HD-1 is also an iPod and iPhone docking speaker. All dockable iPods and iPhones are compatible with the system. Other audio devices with an auxiliary connection can be used with the radio as well for headphones-free listening. However, when you feel like listening in private, the system gives you that option too thanks to the headphone output connection.
Other features include a large, backlit LCD display, a dual alarm clock with snooze, 5 equalizer presets, and rear firing bass ports for rich sound. The system also has a video output for watching video from your iPod or iPhone on your TV. And an included remote control makes it possible to control the unit from across the room.
