    Yamaha HH65 reviews

HH65 Electronic Hi-Hat Contoller Pedal is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not feel natural I'm an ameteur when it comes to drumming so I bought a DD65 (Electronic drumkit) and the foot switches for base and high hat that came with this DD65 drum were horrible. So then I bought the KP65 (kickpad) which felt quite natural and well worth the money so I decided to also buy the HH65 also and it was kind of disappointment. The feel isn't that natural and I feel that I spent money to upgrade from a 0 being the default footswitch provided with DD65 to about 5 for this one. I have no idea on how other HH controllers are, but definitely this one definitely didn't feel natural.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Quality I purchased this Hi-Hat Controller Pedal to replace the control button/switch that comes with the Yamaha DD-65 compact drum kit. The pedal better mimicks the feel of a real high hat and does not slide around on the floor like the stock hi hat foot switch. The build quality is very good. If you need an electronic high hat pedal that feels more like the real thing, you will need a better kit and a stand alone electroic hi hat with pads and a stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I needed a replacement.... ....and I found it, here, at a much better price than even ...! I usually thing if B&H for my photo needs, but when the cat peed on my Hi-Hat controller and shorted it out, I needed another one quick for an upcoming gig. Best price, ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pedal! I have been using the full stand hi hat trigger for a while, and decided to upgrade to this pedal, with a mounted trigger....MUCH BETTER! You can place the padal where you want...adjust trigger position (I had an extra trigger) to where you want without moving pedal, unlike regular hi hat style trigger. I also find the trigger to be a bit more responsive to all foot actions, EXCEPT the hi hat splash is actually harder to trigger properly....Great product overall!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best price for this pedal on the Web If you have any DTX Module from Yamaha , then you know this is the only hi hat pedal that will work correctly . Yes I have tried other pedals and they don't work . Only Yamaha hi hat controllers work with DTX 500 and above Modules . B&H has the Lowest price on this pedal . Pedal works great, open , half open , closed and foot splash or foot hit . Quick shipping and great packaging . So if you own a Yamaha Module and you need a hi hat pedal , look no further .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what I needed it to do! I purchase this pedal because I have an e-drum kit that consists of equipment from 3 different brands. I use V-Drum mesh pads with an Alesis DM10 brain, Pro Rack, and a Yamaha DTX550 module running to Hart cymbals. The response from the Yamaha HiHat trigger is better and SOUNDS better than the Alesis, so I needed the controler for the DTX550 to work properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The pedal works, but not well. Though it looks like a Hi-hat pedal, and almost feels like one, it really doesn't behave so. Tough for an analogue device like a Hi-hat to be replaced by digital, I suppose. Too bad, really, as it wasn't cheap but not returnable as it isn't technically defective. Just not the right tool for the job. Sorry, Yamaha, back to the drawing board, or not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Unit replaced the original hi hat controller, which had given up distinguishing open hits. Previous user liked to use the pedal as a pseudo double bass pedal, which wore it down too fast. Only complaint is the tiny amount of pressure between closed and semi-closed, but I've not adjusted the height to compensate. Good pedal overall.
