The XGA resolution BenQ MP525P DLP Digital Projector is a powerful, versatile projector that makes beautiful, vivid pictures thanks to its Texas Instruments DLP imaging panel. DLP panels not only make vibrant, crystal clear images, they don't require filters that have to be periodically cleaned and changed.

TI's patented DLP imager features an innovation it calls BrilliantColor. Unlike other technologies such as LCD that use just three primary colors to produce the image, DLP Technology with BrilliantColor uses up to six separate colors. BrilliantColor not only improves color accuracy, it brightens secondary colors as well. This combination increases the brightness of the colors by up to 50 percent over DLP projectors without BrilliantColor for accurate, true-to-life images.

BenQ MP525P Overview

The MP525P also has four picture modes specialized for brightly lit rooms, presentations, viewing photos and watching movies plus two "user" modes that allow you to save your own picture preferences.

Exclusive BenQ 3D Color Management enables you to fine-tune color intensity to meet your preference. 3D Color Management lets you independently adjust the hue, grain, and saturation levels of all six color wheel tones (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow) without colors compromising each other.

But the MP525P can do lots more than make beautiful pictures. For one thing, it can make them all over the world. It's got an international auto switching 100 - 240 volt 50/60 Hz auto switching power supply that draws only 275 watts. That drops to less than one watt in standby mode. The MP525P can project video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM international video standards too.

And speaking of international, its OSD (on-screen display) offers your choice of 24 languages. The MP525P and handle 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition projection and it's also compatible with a couple dozen Macintosh and PC resolution/sync rates. It can also display closed captioning from programming sources that provide them.

With all of those possible inputs you may find that you have multiple sources plugged into your MP525P at the same time. With Auto Input Search activated it will automatically switch to the one that's got the live signal.

Economical mode lowers fan noise to below that of a whispered conversation and extends bulb life by 33 percent. Auto Off saves money too. A built in FAQ button projects answers to frequently asked questions right on the screen. And Wall Color Correction corrects the color when you don't have a screen and have to project on a wall or blackboard.

This projector has beautiful images in its blood. BenQ was the first company to use BrilliantColor technology in its projectors. With 2500 ANSI lumens at a 2600:1 contrast ratio those images will be vivid, detailed and true-to-life even if you can't achieve theater-level darkness in your projection venue.

2500 ANSI Lumens And a 2600:1 Contrast Ratio
That's plenty of projection power for presentations in a large classroom, lecture hall or meeting room or watching a DVD or Blu-ray disc in your media room, even with a fair amount of ambient light.
Texas Instruments DLP DMD With BrilliantColor Technology
BenQ projectors were the first to adopt BrilliantColor technology. It's not hard to understand why. BrilliantColor increases color accuracy while it increases color brightness by up to 50 percent over DLP projectors without it. BrilliantColor provides accurate, true-to-life images because in addition to red green and blue, its spectrum includes their complements: cyan, magenta and yellow. What's more, DLP projectors require no filters that have to be periodically cleaned and replaced.
Customize With 3D Color Management
With 3D Color Management you can individually manage not just three colors (red, green and blue) but six: RGB plus magenta, cyan and yellow. Color management provides fine color control adjustment to allow for more accurate color reproduction, should you require it. It's typically used in permanent home theater installations by experienced videophiles and technicians who have the equipment (a test disc and a device called a colorimeter) to tune colors to the most exacting standards.
No Color Decay: Reliable Picture Quality
Because the MP525P uses DLP technology that's virtually immune to color decay—the yellow/green tint that some projectors develop over extended periods of usage. Because DLP projectors enjoy a technological advantage in protecting against color decay, they offer an extended lifespan—lasting year after year.
Super Quiet Operation And Long Lamp Life in Economical Mode
BenQ has engineered fan noise down to a whisper quiet 33 dB in Normal mode and an amazing 28 dB in Economical mode. Likewise the very respectable 3000 hour average lamp life in Normal mode is extended to 4000 hours in Economical Mode.
Quick Auto Search Finds the Active Input Fast
You often might have multiple inputs plugged in to the projector. With Quick Auto Search activated it will automatically switch to the one that's got the live signal.
Wall Color Correction
Don't worry if you don't have a projector screen handy. BenQ has studied the most commonly used paint colors and developed easy-to-use Wall Color Correction technology so that you can project almost anywhere and still get the precise color performance you need.
FAQ Button Answers Your Questions On Screen
Many Web sites have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page but have you ever heard of a FAQ button on a projector's remote control? Just press it and with a few more clicks you can read either the Image and Installation FAQ or the Features and Service FAQ right on screen.
24 Language OSD (On-Screen Display
The MP535P's OSD offers your choice of 24 languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Thai and Traditional Chinese.
Closed Captioning
The MP525P can display closed captioning from programming sources that provide it. Closed captioning was developed to make TV more enjoyable and useful for the hard of hearing but it also comes in handy for those learning English as a second language.
