What is the length of the 5/8th spigot? I need to know if it will get a bite from my grip head before purchasing.

The stud section on the Pump Cup is three inches. And is standard and should fit most grips.

For car mounting, I see these are often used in pairs with Super Clamps to hold a boom. What about the option of mounting the camera directly to a single cup? Can you recommend fittings to connect the 5/8 pin to a pan/tilt or ball head?
