    Pyle Pro PTAU45 reviews

    PTAU45 Mini 120 Watt x 2 Stereo Power Amplifier w/ USB/CD/Aux Inputs is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my application Purchased this to drive two outdoor speakers which are on our deck. It does the job perfectly. Amp has many options - usb, audio in from MP3 player plus inputs on the rear of the unit. Very flexible. I have aux 1 wired to an AirPort Express and the freedom of wireless music control is excellent. I read reviews prior to purchasing and the most common con was the speaker connections at the rear of the unit. I have had no trouble with mine. Unit runs up to 6 hours sometimes and never feels hot to the touch. I would, and have!, recommend this to a friend. B&H had the best price on the web and the amp arrived quickly and well packed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent little amp for the money This amp is driving 2 Infinity ERS 8 round in-ceiling speakers. Using MP3 direct input. Chatted with B&H following intallation to see if 120 watts RMS x2 equated to 60 watts per channel/speaker or 120 watts per channel/speaker. Was told 120 watts multiplied by 2, not divided by 2. Sound is plenty loud but I expected more frankly. Clean at all volumes but not quite the crank capacity I expected. I had an immediate issue with the speaker wire clips. When clipped up to allow entry of speaker wires they are loose enough to fall out?! That was a first for me. Difficult to engage securely. Very odd. Great little amp for the money though. Fills a porch & spillover to a deck beautifully.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Less Than Perfect The amp works just fine. However, it has a serious design flaw that makes it almost impossible for me to enjoy as intended. I planned to use it on my patio, connected to outdoor speakers. This requires me to connect and disconnect the speakers regularly. The first few times everything went well. But then the springs that hold the speaker wires in place began popping out and I had to keep replacing them. Then, because the area behind the spring compartment has holes leading into the interior of the amp. One of the springs fell into the amp and I had to take it apart to retrieve it. It's become such a problem that I've been forced to use rubber bands to keep the speaker wires in place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple Easy Installation I needed something compact and inexpensive. This unit was perfect to fit in my cabinet. I have 3 analogue sources, an Apple airport express for streaming music, a turntable and the TV sound. I really like the line level output because I am feeding the signal to another small amp for my outdoor speakers. I have not had any problems with the speaker connectors or any ground hum. Plus this powers my JBL control 1's nicely. One request would be a sub out, but no big deal as I have speaker terminals on my sub.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little amp! I've only had it a few weeks but so far I love it. I just needed something to push some bookshelf speakers with enough inputs to take most of my toys. The power seems adequate for the volume levels I require which is pretty loud sometimes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd One Works Great!!! First one showed up with the right channel dead. B&H immediately sent me a prepaid return label, and had a new one back to me in a week. Outstanding product that sounds awesome, and outstanding service from the fine folks at B&H!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not 120 watts RMS as advertised I have been using this amp with small speakers for over a year and it continues to work fine. I like the many inputs and the price was awesome. However, when I tried to drive some large speakers with it, I discovered that the actual power output is not 120 watts RMS as advertised but is more like 12 watts per channel, RMS. An old 30w RMS receiver drove those speakers 4 times louder. Am shopping for a new amp with true power specifications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little amplifier I needed another amplifier of low to medium power to drive my newly installed rear surround speakers as I have upgraded from my 5.1 system to 7.1. This amplifier is very small, but has sufficient power for this job. It sounds fine without distortion or hum or extraneous sounds. The controls are rudimentary but adequate: bass, treble, balance and level. I only use the analog stereo input for my application.
