Can this newer lens shade (ET-87) be a replacement to the ET-86 from the older Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS USM version 1 lens?My ET-87 has broken, so rather than replace it with the same model, I'm interested in upgrading the hood to the newer ET-87. I prefer the newer matte finish.Let me know.
I would advise against using the ET-87 for the version 1 of the 70-200mm f/2.8. The ET-86 and ET-87 lens hoods are dedicated for the specific versions of the 70-200, and so it is best to stick with the same model to guarantee that it will work.
