Designed specifically for the 12" Meade LightBridge Dobsonian telescope, this JMI Train-N-Track Motor Drive gives it the ability to track celestial objects smoothly and accurately for 10 minutes or more after a simple 30-second training procedure. The TNT motor drive system includes adjustable speeds on both axes, high-speed centering and one-touch re-positioning of the altitude tangent arm. This is a stand-alone system and will not interface with any guiding systems or software programs.
The clutchless azimuth friction drive enables you to move the telescope by hand, then let go and the drive takes over. The TNT runs from the included 110 VAC/60 Hz power adapter outfitted with a standard US wall plug, or on eight user-supplied AA batteries for off-the-grid observing sessions. Installation requires drilling nine small mounting holes in the rocker box, and drop-in brackets make removal in re-installation quick and easy.
