What does the diameter of the microphone need to be? Can this be used with standard shotgun mics?
The mic I'm using this on is about the same diameter as a Sharpie, and 2"-3" long, so no, unless your shotgun mic is tiny this won't work.

Where can I find installation instructions and examples of installation with this type of mount? Does it just dangle from a hook? Is there specialized mounting hardware?
