The LaCinema Mini HD Connect Digital Media Player from LaCie is a digital media player that connects to your HDTV via HDMI for 1080p video output. It allows you to view all of your digital files -- videos, audio, and photos alike -- in the comfort of your living room. It supports SD composite output for connection to legacy TV sets.
The player features a wired 10/100Mbps Ethernet port for network connectivity. An optional Wi-Fi adapter is available, ideal for users who don't have a network port near their TV. You can also add direct storage drives via USB 2.0 -- these include flash drives, portable hard drives, and desktop hard drives.
The LaCinema features a design by Neil Poulton. Its casing features a conservative black design, accented by a glowing blue light. The included wireless remote control features a matching black design with white text to identify its buttons. In addition to streaming from your computer via the included Twonky media server software, you can also stream from any network storage device that has been certified as compatible with UPnP by the DLNA.
