Piano and Keyboard Method - This software program, which includes 12 chapters, is a unique, intensive and dynamic way to learn keyboard. Everything from musical notation to time, tempo, chords, scales and many other topics are covered in detail.
Using many familiar songs, you'll learn left/right hand techniques, sight reading and other facets that go into learning piano. The animated keyboard feature allows you to see the fingerings as you listen and play with the music.
Irma Irene Justicia, from the Julliard School of Music, uses over 70 videos to demonstrate techniques. Some of the videos include split-screen viewing and include close-ups to give you an unrestricted view of hand-work. Along with piano tablature, you'll get guitar notation so that if you are learning with a friend, you can share the music and perform like a two-man band.
You'll get feedback from, the software as to your progress - mistakes are noted to help you get it right the next time. There is also a "scoreboard" to track your progress and which gives you an assessment of how you performed any specific song. The included digital metronome gives you a time track either visually or with a "click". Record, share and compare your work with what your instructor has shown yo on-screen.
Method includes hits popularized by artists such as:
Billy Joel ("Piano Man")
Elton John ("Candle in the Wind")
Los Lobos ("La Bamba")
Bob Dylan ("Knockin' on Heaven's Door")
