Impact 10032380 Overview

The Impact Sync Cord Male PC to Sub Mini is an 18" (45 cm) cable. It features a sub-mini plug at one end, and a male PC (post connection) plug at the other end. This allows radio remote control receivers (e.g. MicroSync Receiver) to be connected to the Canon 580EX II or Nikon SB-26, SB-28, SB-80, SB-800, and SB-900 flashes for remote triggering. It can also be used with lightmeters, which usually use a PC male cord. In addition, it can be used to trigger small flash units like Morris or SP brands from the camera.

Word to the wise. Make sure the cable is attached to your transmitter and the lens, before you turn on the strobe. Or you'll see how really fast your strobe can be. (Transmitter Godox XproS; lens Fujinon 250mm f6.3; strobe Godox Ad600Pro)

Needed a sync cord to connect my Hasselblad 500CM to an Elinchrom Quadra Ranger Skyport Transmitter, one of the small ones that comes with the kit. Fit both camera and Skyport just fine.

I would buy again!

Gigapan Cord to Allow Autofocus

This is the cord you want to sync your Gigapan to the pc port on your DSLR. Note this is not the usb port but the pc (old flash port) This allows the gigapan to determine whether the camera was able to achieve focus and execute the shutter. Not sure how it does this but it seems to work for me as they indicate in the manual. This provides some additional latitude when taking panoramas when you're too close to make a fix lens opening work. Gigapan suggested a much shorter cord but you need something long to allow your camera to move around. Hopefully they took my comments to heart and put this item on their recommended list.

Asked by: Oswaldo
No, the Impact Sync Cord - Male PC to Sub Mini - 18" (45 cm) would not work to trigger the Minolta Auto 128 Flash from the Minolta SRT-101. That flash uses a different connection.

question

Will this work witha Canon 5div to ST-E3-RT?
Asked by: Anonymous
Not sure. I would call Canon and ask. I think most of these connectors are a standard size so I would guess that to be the case but Canon can tell you for certain. You can also call the Photo Department at B&H. Those guys are a wealth of knowledge.
