The AnchorMAN-20 from Anchor Audio/Portacom is a high-quality wireless intercom system designed for full-duplex communication. It consists of 2 BP-900 wireless beltpack transmitter/receivers, 2 H-200S single-ear headsets, a charger for charging both beltpacks at once, and a carrying case. Both users may communicate in duplex mode, while additional beltpacks can be added to support an unlimited number of listen-only users. The system can be divided into separate groups that operate in the 944-952MHz range, so there's no need for a base station.
Each of the ergonomic beltpacks has an XLR headset jack for connecting the headset. Each headset has an adjustable, padded headband and a cushioned earcup for great comfort. The dynamic microphone is at the end of an adjustable boom arm for precise positioning. The heavy duty antenna provides clear communication at distances of up to 250' for duplex mode and 2500' in simplex mode. Controls for group selection, headset volume control, and mic sensitivity control are provided. A push-to-talk button is available, although you can choose voice-activated communication as well.
The beltpacks each use four standard AA batteries, and rechargeable NiMH batteries are included. In continuous transmit mode, the beltpacks can operate for approximately 3.5 hours, while they can operate for approximately 7.5 hours in receive-only mode. The included charger can charge both beltpacks in approximately 5.5 hours. A sturdy high-density cardboard case is included for storing your wireless system.
