question

Can I import the video into Corel Video studio pro x10?
Asked by: Joe
In the manual, on page 5, Canon XF Utility software says You can transfer your recordings to your computer, whree you can view and manage them. Using the associated plugins, you then use the recordings with major NLE software. We use Adobe Premier Pro CC for editing. I hope this helps.

You will be able to bring the footage from the XF305 in to Sony Vegas. You may just need to download the Canon XF Utility 3.1 for Windows, which can be found at this link on Canon's website: http://bit.ly/2fSnaIl

question

Can the Canon XF305 or XF300 be switched to an SD, 4:3 mode like the previous models that record to tape can?
Asked by: Marshall C.
YES; find and go to the camera video setup menu. 1. OPEN the { SD Output} submenu. toggle to SD Output. 2. Select SD out. NOTE: I take the SD rarely but I use a B&C connector, bottom B&C lug, rear right panel, to output SD. Please refer to XF300-305 Instruction Manual (available on line I think) pages 152-154.
