The EverFocus EPARA16D3R Paragon 16-CH Full Size DVR can be used to simultaneously manage the live viewing, recording, playback, archiving, and remote access of 16 analog CCTV cameras. In designing this DVR, EverFocus focused on making it easy for an operator to setup the DVR and to perform quick search and archive operations. For this reason they incorporated this DVR with a user friendly GUI that features Express functionality for setup, archiving, playback, and file searching.
Video is recorded in the MPEG4 format at up to 480 FPS, which translates into a full 30 FPS for each camera input. Video images are fully adjustable for frame rates and resolution to suit a particular security environment and network structure. A built-in recorder calculator offers a handy way for an operator to crunch the numbers and that way arrive at a fairly accurate estimate of what's needed in terms of storage space.
This DVR comes with a free DDNS service from EverFocus. With Dynamic DNS, the DVR can be assigned a meaningful URL name that will not change even when the IP address does. A gigabit Ethernet port provides the necessary speed for interfacing the DVR to the network.
