Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have!!! It puts out a great soft light. It's pretty bright, they say 50W & I think w/ newer camcorders these days this will meet your lighting needs most of the time & if you need more light: buy another one. Everyone complains how cheap the plastic is: well it's light, secure, easy to set up, cheap enough to easily replace if it did break & it does the job; especially if your on the run & shooting indoor & outdoor scenes. The LEE filters are great!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to the Rotolight RL48A Does what it say on the tin, its a great accessory to have with my Rotolight RL48-A, allowing me to accessory shoe mount it when i want to. I've also recently tried experimenting with the Rotolight as a Sidelight on a Tripod with 1/4 thread and it works great for this to and just goes straight on! And it looks cool on my Camera! ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! The on-camera light I'd bought produced a nice, diffused light, but I don't always have my shotgun mic attached to the camera. This stand allowed me to put the light in my unused hot shoe and it works like a dream. You can even rotate the light if needed. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need for multiple cameras This very helpful for using on camera that don't have a large shotgun mic or with a DSLR. Before I got this I could only use my rotolight on one of my cameras. I like my rotolight enough that I wanted to be able to use it on my DSLR and B camera. So I got the stand to be flexible. It it is very straight foreword and quick to step up. My only down side is the hot shoe clamp is a little cumbersome. If you attach and tighten the stand to the camera before you attach the light then it is fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stand for the roto-light is briliant It mounts your roto-light to a tri-pod or a shoe... Doesn't have a swivel head but oh-well I never found a reason to bounce the roto-light. I would recommend the kit that come with this the light and the pouch

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Addition to the Rotolight RL48A This is a great addition to any Rotolight, having the ability to mount either to a hot-shoe or over the Shotgun Mic is very useful depending on what work I am doing! I recently bought a Canon 5D MK II and for Photography I use the Rotolight Stand on the Hot Shoe, and when using the Video functionality, I attach a Shotgun Mic on the 5D's Hot Shoe, and the Rotolight Slips perfectly over my Shotgun! Great Product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Useful but flawed I love being able to mount my Rotolight to a hot/cold shoe, but there is one little design flaw. The light pops right out of the stand if you torque the unit when trying to tighten it. In other words, make sure your stand is positioned tightly in place BEFORE you attach the light. I would recommend this to a friend, but only because there's no other option available to attach the Rotolight to a hot shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rotolight pops off Great concept! the lighting is fantastic, but I think they cut cost on the stem manufacturing. it is too lightweight plastic to hold the rotolight when you are shooting handheld. I had the light pop off and smack the concrete facedown twice. I'm afraid to use it, unless the camera is mounted on a tripod.
