Dual purpose. Accepts Parker Jotter, Quink Flow, Schneider Slider 775, and Schmidt Easyflow 9000 refills. Solid build quality. Primarily an excellent pen that will last a lifetime, the rest is up to you. Well worth the cost for what your getting.

Very Nice Pen

Very nice pen, solid construction and smooth action. The color -- I purchased the Tan version -- is more an almost gold brown with a tinge of green than a straight tan. It is a very pleasant color. I also have a SF Pen IV -- the III has a set of large grooves perpendicular to the long axis of the pen that seem to offer far more useful grip to counteract the pen sliding in ones hand along the long axis than the thin longitudinal grooves on the IV. The rear grooves on the III lack the annoying sharpness of the rear grooves on the IV. Overall, I prefer the III to the IV (and the SF Pen I) so far.
