    Interfit INT309 reviews

Wall-Mounted Boom Arm is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wonderful but only for light weight lights or reflectors If I had a small, light weight light, strobe or reflector this would be outstanding. But I wanted to hang Linco Flora Soft boxes weighing 7.5 pounds assembled with bulbs but the wall mounted boom arm won't stay where I set it. The 5/8 pin holding the soft box slips as does the extension arm. I am afraid that the weight will torque the plastic into pieces. I would have given it 5 stars if the plastic were replaced by metal. The bracket and wall mount will not let this swing 180 degrees. The flanges are too short. I made longer brackets and now it swings 200 degrees. I like the diameter of the tubing and the extra large wall flange and the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value for lighter loads. 3 stars because of the plastic fittings. Its difficult to tell much from the description or picture but the pivot clamp and the spigot end clamp are plastic. This has not been a problem but if you intend to use heavy modifiers on an expensive light you might want to look at the Manfrotto boom. Also, when they say wall mount only.....they mean it. Mounting to an autopole via a superclamp would require customizing the wall plate or making a custom mount, etc. For anyone needing dimensions for blocking in your walls the wall plate is 5.5 inches wide by 11.75 inches tall. Mounting holes are 4 inches on center. Overall, i am very pleased with the product especially at its price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Product The purpose our studio intended to use this product was not for the wall but for the ceiling. We were skeptical about how well it would adapt, and found out with little time how incredible and flexible this product is. Its purposes are plentyful, so anyone considering purchasing this product will most likely not regret their purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for small studios! I had an empty room which was only 9.5 foot wide. Tight for a studio, so I got this wall mounted boom and tought it could be possible. I can't believe I have been fiddling along with floor stands for so long, this thing is a must have, it makes it so much easier to work in a small room. It is true that it might be a bit short for some people, but you can't make a long boom without a counterweight on the other side, this is just physics. I almost reach the middle of my room with it installed on a side wall, a few more inches would habe been nice. It does have some plastic components, but it does not look flimsy to me, and for the price point, you don't go wrong. I use a 48 inch octabox on it without issues even fully extended. Make sure to get appropriate screws for your mounting surface, none is included in the package and I'm sure the mounting to the wall is the weakest point in this system. The boom itself is very sturdy as long as you don't have extra heavy equipment at the end of it. I was unsure when I ordered this, but I'm very happy and will be adding a second one for the other side (and maybe a third one in the ceiling).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value Wall Boom I use these for backlights in my cove where lightstands can't go. Frees up space on the floor and I can get hair lights nice and high without fear of stands falling over. Pretty handy and not very expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Versatile and Strong in Small Space I received delivery on my Interfit Wall-Mounted Boom from B&H yesterday - One day from order to delivery, thanks to B&H (yes!). I must say that I couldn't have purchased a better all purpose mount for my very small studio space for my lighting projects. One thing I noticed is that the description doesn't tell you that this boom arm goes up and down and will collapse into a nearly perfect vertical position when not in use (keeps me from banging my head on it when not shooting!). The diameter and arrangement of the aluminum tubing is light, yet robust. I had no issues hanging a good sized monolight and umbrella assembly from it and doubt that I'll have any issues with my 4 foot softbox. Although, as with one reviewer, I'd like to see a swivel arrangement at the end for exact positioning of the light or reflector, it's no issue to add all variety of multi-clamps, etc., to achieve that. I mounted mine at approximately 5 feet above the floor, so I can extend to my low ceiling height, up to 7 feet, or go down to just above the floor for set-ups where I need the distance from the lens. I really do anticipate ordering another once I get enough hours in with this one to know where the second will go. At this price and quality I highly recommend this rig.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great product This is a great product. Inexpensive, compact, easy to use. I mounted the wall bracket and simply attach the arm when I need it. Granted, I have to do this with the normal bolts as supplied, I wish they would make a quick release option to make this possible without having to use tools. The best is that it takes everything off the floor and can hold substantial weight. I have already ordered another two.
