This Dot Line HD ETTL Off-Camera TTL Shoe Cord maintains all on-camera flash functions for one Olympus-compatible shoe-mount flash unit used off-camera at distances up to 3'. It is compatible with all Olympus cameras with a standard flash shoe, digital or film.

The cord features a molded shoe on one end that slides onto the camera's hot shoe and locks on to prevent accidental dislodging. A second shoe mounts onto a flash bracket or light stand via either a standard foot with lock or a 1/4-20 thread. The top of the shoe accepts the flash unit. A heavy duty 3' coiled cord connects the shoes.

HD ETTL Off-Camera TTL Shoe Cord is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best I have found I have used some cheaper brand off-camera cords that are all plastic, and recently almost destroyed a flash as a result. This cord is built very well, with a metal housing on the flash mount module. The only issue I had was that my Olympus FL-600R flash did not lock down snug on the mount and would have contact problems. I simply (and carefully) decreased the gap where the flash shoe slides in, and have no more problems. I think this issue has to do with the design of the Oly flash mount rather than this cord. Regardless, I now use my flashes on a bracket without fear that the flash mount will snap in half and send my flash crashing to the floor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from works but cord cover disintegrates Noticed the first time out with the cord that the outer coating on the cord started to come apart. Unfortunately I had already discarded the packaging. Cord works, has nice shoe attachment for the flash unit that will not break off like the Vello Canon unit but the build quality on the one I received was not so great. Had to tighten up the base which ended up rotating the hot shoe slide in so if you used a hot shoe to hold this to your bracket your flash would be off 30 to the left. Bought this for the more durable hot shoe mount for the flash but not sure how long the inner cord is going to hold up with the outer shell falling off in pieces. At least most of where it's falling off I have taped to the bracket so it will minimize it's movement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid alternative TTL cord The RPS ETTL cord has been an excellent alternative to the Olympus-branded TTL cord so far. I purchased it mainly because of its price - it's much more reasonable than the Oly cord. Overall it seems to be well built and sturdy enough, and the TTL function has worked perfectly in the test shots I've made. I bought this so that I could put my FL-50 on a plate with a small softbox, for use shooting macro subjects. Having TTL ability for that is a huge help. (Another plus is that the cord isn't too long.) The flash end also has a mounting screw socket, which is a nice touch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well, but has cord issues Outer cord jacket began to crack early on at the remote connection, but continued to work for years with very light use and electrical tape to provide stress relief. The interior wires finally broke and I had to replace it recently. I did not buy this brand the second time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Functional but disintegrates I have had this cord for Olympus for several years, although I do not use it often. Mine is now showing the same symptoms others have mentioned: that the jacket of the coiled cable has cracked completely through along its entire length. To its credit the thing still works fine, no issues with my Panasonic, Olympus cameras or Panasonic and off-brand flashes. If you are looking for a cord for the long term this might not be the best value, despite it's very low initial cost compared to others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful This is the worst ttl cord I have ever purchased. Frayed, split the plastic and stopped working first time out. Other reviewers said the same thing but I did not heed their advice. I should have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value Waaaaay cheaper than Olympus. Well built, works great so far on my OM-D EM-1. The cord is a little short for some purposes, perhaps, but I always use it hand-held. I have long arms and it reaches as far as I can. So perfect for my use. So good build, good function, good price. I gave four stars because, well, how do you get five stars on a TTL cord? But I am very happy with this affordable, functional piece of gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fully functional with Olympus Haven't had it long but works fine in TTL and FP modes with my EM-10 and Bolt VS5100P flash. Haven't used it long enough to comment about it's durability. The Zeikos ZE-OCSCO which I initially purchased (elsewhere) was not compatible with Olympus despite advertising it was (Canon brand flash cords are compatible with Olympus, but Canon compatible are often not)
