A27M Stereo Stand Adapter is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A27M Stereo Stand Adapter I use this product for concert audio recording. Stereo XY or ORTF config. Every aspect of this product is great. I have no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant I am a professional recording engineer. I have used the A27M to record live performances as well as in the studio. It is a perfect solution for quickly setting up a coincident or near-coincident pair. This elegant design uses only one knurled knob to secure the microphone angles. It holds them more securely than other stereo bars I own. No more accidental spinning or using a pliers to tighten anything. There is a small built-in protractor with markings every 45. The protractor is not the easiest thing to use, but my other stereo bars don't have a protractor at all. I have successfully set my mic angles to 90 as well as 135 without additional tools. When I record live performances, I need my set-up to be attractive and unobtrusive. The audience and the performers really notice when your microphone rig is large or ugly. The A27M fits the bill perfectly. It also comes with a clip to keep your cables tidy. The only improvement I could suggest to Shure would be to make the top and bottom pieces black like the rest of it to maintain its stealth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed! I've had this thing for a month and I've already used it on a couple of gigs. It's made my life way easier! It's incredibly easy to setup and it won't shift or move during the performance. It is heavy though so make sure you have a good quality mic stand. I use a 14' Ultimate studio boom and it works great with that! The only thing I can tell you is it's very hard to put two shock mounts on it. It's little tight when you have two on there and I had a hard time getting my angles right. I went back to the stand clips on my mics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best stereo mic bar on the market I've tried other stereo bar adapters, but keep returning to the Shure A27M stereo bar. It has bulletproof steel construction, is easy to configure for different stereo mic setups. XY, ORTF are easy. DIN is harder, might be OK but depends on the length of your mics and mic mounts/holders. I use the A27M in conjunction with a Manfrotto lighting stand and a Manfrotto Rapid Adapter, and use AT4021b shockmounts to position my mics for a live stereo recording. In summary, this stereo bar is very versatile and recommended for live recording.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No threads for 3rd clip, etc Ok, this thing is beautiful. HOWEVER from the photos i saw, I thought there were more threads on top for another mic clip or adapter. (like for camera thread) No. The photo is upside down. That small silver disc on bottom of pic is the top nut. It does come off, but the thread underneath nut is NOT the thread used for cameras, etc. In other words, if you want to put anything else on the mic stand, you still need a t-bar or clamp. Kind of a bummer cause i bought it to look lean and clean on video.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice stand adapter This is a very well made, nice looking adapter. So far I've used it just for an ORTF configuration, and it works very well. I've screwed it onto a 12' photo stand using a 5/8 to 3/8 adapter, and it works just fine. No complaints so far. I think this is something that I'll frequently and for a very long time; it seems built to last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like it!!! This microphone holder is clever, very professional in appearance, and well-built. It works great for near-coincident and coincident microphone configurations. I especially like the clean professional look. I plan to use it in the front of a church during concert recordings so this factor is valuable for me. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal and very solid ORTF placement. Suffering with stereo bars and need a professional solution? This is it. Any near coincident placement you can imagine, this will be your final solution. It is solid too. Great heft. Just remember, this will not be your spaced AB omni solution. No arrangement will get you to the 40cm minimum for spaced pairs.
