Besides better contrast ratio and steps of gradation, the display offers a 20% decrease in power consumption and over 10% decrease in weight as compared to the respective 11 series predecessors.

Slot 2.0 architecture offers a combination of fixed terminal inputs and a function slot to accommodate plug-in modules for extra functionality. The fixed inputs include HDMI, DVI -D, Component Video (with audio), Composite Video (with audio), and PC input (D-sub 15). Mounting an optional function board allows the display to support a variety of applications.
