Matthews 350604 reviews

MICROgrip Head is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well built, but maybe misrepresented by overview description This is a well built highly functional product, but be aware, it does not work with 5/8 baby pins or rods. The overview description claims to gives you all the same moves and features of a (standard) 2 1/2 grip head. This WILL NOT WORK WITH standard grip gear. I think it will work very well with Mathews Micro kit, but the offerings of compatible accessories are very limited. Again, this is a well build product, just be aware of compatibility. I missed my 30 day return, and although unused new in bags, a return is not accepted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect These are wonderful to have in the studio.. The base that matthews makes for these is not so useful because it is too lightweight for most of what i do.. I had my own heavier larger base fabricated and it does the trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mighty Mini Grip Head These are incredibly useful little grip heads for the Microgrip system. They are precisely machined and finished. They grip very well and together with the rods one can configure just about anything for a table top set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little grip, big delivery!!! As a tabletop photographer, I love this little grip! The size of this thing is amazing! It doesn't get in the way, or block light...and it is easy to use on my custom made tabletop gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiny but magical! What you can do with this product (and the rest of the set of course) you cannot do with any other product on the market. It is tiny but holds rods strongly. It also looks nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy Gadget Plenty sturdy... I love not having to carry big heavy grip around if it's not necessary. This grip head does everything a big one does except fit large items and carry heavy weights and it's very light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small and Strong Used this after much research for construct my own video car kit.I needed a product that would not fail me as it could be very costly or dangerous if it did very well made professional product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hollywood It! I have an audio follow cart that I've used for recording on location. For years I've attached a reticulated arm with a pony clamp to hold a flash light to provide enough light to write audio notes after each take. However, when that arm would break, it would do so at the most inopportune times, and generally on a dark set. When I saw the Matthews MICROgrip system I realized I had found a small, portable, stable and durable solution that I could use not only on my audio cart, but in my home studio and other work settings as well. I set it up with a Matthews 12 vertical rod, a MICROgrip head, and an 8 rod screwed into a Manfrotto Nano clamp that secures a Streamlight Stylus Pro flashlight. The entire set-up is rock solid. The base is heavy enough so there's no chance of things tipping over. Just a heads up--the base is a 1/4-20 thread pattern, so make sure you order the appropriate MICROgrip rods (don't buy the 3/8-16 male end rods, they won't fit into this base). Matthews quality in a mini-me package. This set up will likely outlive me. It may be overkill to hold a flashlight, but it sure looks cool.
