Tried this out to mount an Insta360 camera to my gimbal ring for BTS content. It is awesome! Super strong and thin, totally invisible inside the 360 stitch line! If only there were an anti-twist solution on the ends as well, this would be perfect

Can they be used in a standard 2.5 grip head? If so, which would you recommend?

The Matthews MICROgrip Rod (3/8"-16 Male to Male, 20") does not work in a standard grip head. It is made to work with the Matthews MICROgrip Head, BH #MAMGHQ (https://bhpho.to/4ubURq3).

question

Is this made of aluminium or steel ?
Asked by: Daniel
It feels heavy and durable enough to be steel or an alloy. It is not as flexible or soft as aluminum would feel. I put a spigot on each end and use 8 and 12 rods to locate a flash unit inside a flash modifier and extend the reach between a light stand adaptor and the flash, to put it's articulation outside the modifier ... works great!
