Does the job but the surface will mar a lot more compared to other type/brands. The aluminium (aluminum) is obviously not as strong as the usual metal used.

what is the length of the Matthews adapter -- looks longer than impact adapter (1.34 in)?
Thank you to all who answered my question. Novice here learning that a baby female stud receiver does not necessarily require a short, stubby male stud.

Where do I find a longer one? Would like to be able to bolt my camera into a grip head.
If your camera is 1/4-20 you could a 7000 baby pin which is tapped female and add your own set screw. If your camera is 3/8 - 16 you can use a 429779.
