This PVS14-3A from ATN is a third generation night vision monocular that's designed for the most demanding of night time applications and the most discerning of users. It can be operated hand-held, head/helmet mounted for hands-free goggle-style viewing, secured to a tripod, attached to a camera, or mounted to a firearm.
The PS14 monocular is small, yet quite rugged. It's designed to endure the rigors of battle-field use and abuse. It is fully sealed and waterproof to ensure reliable operation in any climate. In order to ensure maximum viewing potential, the PVS14's lenses have been multicoated to minimize reflections and maximize light throughput.
Designed as a multi-purpose NVD, the PVS14 can be relied upon to deliver optimum viewing in any no or low-light scenario. Its system can be fine-tuned by the operator by adjusting the manual variable-gain control to establish the highest-quality image possible. The device's automatic brightness control, bright-light cut-off, and auto shut-off circuits are designed to protect the unit while conserving battery power.
Powered by two AA batteries and configured with a remarkable 3rd generation Select Alpha intensifier - this PVS14 delivers military-level low/no-light imaging performance. The built-in IR illuminator allows viewing in total darkness conditions.
All NVDs sold by B&H feature bright-light protection systems. However, this does not mean that bright light can/will not damage the device. Exposure to bright light compromises the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes.
