This DVR supports remote smart phone viewing, and features a coaching iMenu function to help guide you through the setup and operation process. With automatic email notification and free DDNS support you can stay in touch with the surveillance area anytime and from anywhere.
The 4 high resolution cameras are water resistant and come equipped with night vision. This way you can install them indoors or outdoors as well as in areas that are often times dark like entrances, garages, driveways, and pool areas.
With each camera you get a 60' connecting cable, enough to cover most home or office wiring needs.
If at a later date you need to monitor more locations, you can acquire 4 more cameras and use this existing system to monitor and record a total of 8 cameras.
H.264 Compression Saves Disk Space
The 500GB hard drive is designed for high capacity writing, this ensures long product life and accurate video storage. H.264 compression provides an amazing picture while saving almost 50% on storage space versus DVRs with MPEG-4 compression. That means that your system is optimized for up to a month of surveillance.

4 Professional Grade Weather Resistant Cameras
Four high resolution color cameras, made with Sharp image sensors, provide you with a clear and consistent picture at 420 TV lines of resolution. This allows you to better distinguish facial features, which can help in the positive identification of individuals. The cameras can be used indoors and outdoors. Each one is built with professional grade aluminum housing and a sunshade to help prevent glare, deterioration and rusting.

See in the Dark with Automatic Night Vision
The cameras come equipped with night vision, allowing you to see any monitored area (up to 15' away!) in total darkness. Each camera has 12 infrared LEDs that activate automatically when it becomes dark and deactivate during the day to save energy. You will always be able to see what is happening in your yard or at your business after-hours.
