The SM11 C from Focal Professional is a center-channel studio monitor speaker ideal for use in stereo or surround sound setups where precise detail and imaging are essential. The cabinet is constructed from wood and MDF panels and has an asymmetrical design to provide a precise audio image. A pair of 11" long-throw woofers, a 6.5" "W" composite sandwich midrange driver, and a 1" pure Beryllium TBU tweeter provide realistic, natural audio with excellent precision, neutrality, and transparency. Each speaker section is powered by its own amplifier for a total of 500W RMS of power.
The monitor offers analog and digital XLR inputs, letting the speaker accept a traditional analog signal or an AES/EBU 24-bit/96kHz digital signal. MIDI connectors are provided, along with an RS-232 control port for IR control. Material functions include an analog input sensitivity control, AES channel selector, and control interface selector, while software functions include shelving filters, EQ, and delays. The speaker is magnetically shielded for safe use near video monitors and other equipment.
