Tough Protection Inside and Out

Truly, Manfrotto's 393 Heavy Telephoto Lens Support is a welcomed product for its target audience. However, as has been noted here by other purchasers, its tough metal construction and black matte finish make it prone to being scuffed itself or to scuffing other kit items it comes in contact with. This neoprene pouch from LensCoat addresses those issues nicely. The inner pocket for the 357 sliding plate is handy; so is the touch-fastener closure on the flap. The well-sewn neoprene construction of the pouch looks sturdy enough to hold up in general use and encloses the whole gimbal very well. All-in-all, I like this LensCoat product and can easily recommend it to others.

This pouch helps to protect not only your Manfrotto 393 gimbal head, but it protects your other equipment in you bag too!

What are the actual dimensions of this pouch? It looks handy for uses other than the Manfrotto gimbal head. I'm wondering if I could stuff a MILC in there.

According to the manufacturer, the LensCoat Manfrotto 393 Gimbal Pouch (Black) is irregularly shaped, but it is approximately 12 x 10" (30.48 x 25.4 cm) at its widest parts..
