what is a 3.5 mm in inches need 1/4 inch ?
3.5 mm is an 1/8 inch jack. The HED 027 mono headphones from Williams Sound are designed to work with the FM transmitter system for hearing impaired. The FM receivers require the 1/8 inch jack. If you need mono headphones for another purpose you will need an adapter to 1/4 inch.

Can you plug this into the airplane headphone plug in order to watch movies?
The answer above in not correct . But I couldn't fine a way to erase it...The HED 027 is a MONO headphone single pole headphone. It will work in most airplanes , but may require an adapter to get sound to both ears. The HED 024 is the stereo version, and will work with airplane headphone jacks
