The Tiffen 77mm Full Spectrum IRND 2.1 Filter is a combination of both an infrared control filter and a 2.1 neutral density filter. An IRND is ideal for HD cameras, which have greater low-light sensitivity and, subsequently, an increased susceptibility to IR contamination. When using a standard neutral density filter to counter the increased light sensitivity afforded by the HD sensor, the effects of infrared pollution become more apparent. This filter combines an ND filter with a comparable IR control filter to eliminate the spill of infrared light reaching the sensor while still maintaining the extra exposure benefits of a neutral density filter.

This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and mounting to precision metal rings.

Infrared control filter helps to block infrared pollution from affecting the color fidelity of imagery; this enables a wider color gamut and truer colors, especially noticeable in the darker regions of the image.
2.1 neutral density filter requires a 7 stop increase in exposure for normal results.
Water White optical glass for excellent clarity.

77mm Full Spectrum IRND 2.1 Filter is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and Dark I bought this for an upcoming China shoot and paired it with my Sony A7s. I had to return this for the Tiffen 1.2 IRND. I wasn't unhappy with the 2.1 at all. What it came down to was that: I wanted a little more room to create a larger depth of field. This filter does however bend towards a green shift, so make sure you compensate for that in camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot better than ND filter Use it for timelapse in daylight, can reduce shutter to 2-4 seconds to create blur effects. I really like the colour and sharpness, better than my more expensive ND filter

Rated 5 out of 5 by from now that is dense Never thought I would need an ND this dense but with high ISO cameras it is a necessity. Pay for quality filters just as you would a quality lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the work Great for timelapses. However some say this is the only filter you need to have in your kit. of course that's not true... Im buying more of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome color rendention Have used several other brands of nd filters. most of which gave major color shifts. This is a sweet filter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for Time Lapse Works as you would think. Almost an absolute need for Time Laps when using prolonged exposures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great filter, almost no color shift Great filter, almost no color shift compare to others I used before, highly recommanded

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned it Looked like an air bubble trapped between 2 layers of glass.
