Pentax 39892 Overview

The Pentax Waterproof Infrared Remote Control enables you to fire your PENTAX camera remotely without having to worry about the elements. It features a shutter release button, a zoom button and a function button that can be used to change the delay time for remote capture. This remote is not for video functions.

To ensure waterproof performance, the remote is totally sealed, which means that the internal Li-ion battery is non-replaceable. The lanyard attachment lets you attach the remote to a strap, camera case, or to your camera itself (lanyard not included).

I was able to use this remote for maybe 3 outings of an hour or two each before the battery died. And, since it's not replaceable OR rechargeable, it seems this was a total waste of money.

The Pentax Waterproof Infrared Remote Control B&H # PERCWP MFR # 39892 is compatible with the Pentax K-50. It is infrared so it is line of site and does now work as well in daylight compared to a radio remote shutter.Some of those are listed below.
