Is it stable enough to use with a few effect lights and 2 small moving heads?

As such, if you are only using a few effect lights and two moving heads, and they are below the 80 lbs limit, then yes, the MTS-8 Compact Lighting Mobile Truss System would be compatible and stable enough for your planned usage needs.

Can this system be expanded with another truss section?

I have combined three truss sections together from two sets using the included coupling sleeves but my use is for a light-weight backdrop, not for lighting. The longer a section you make the weaker it will be.
