What is the longest a lens could be and be able to properly match up the nodal point to the front optic?
Asked by: Brad
The Epic 100 is for point & shoot cameras and is not able to support the weight of an interchangeable lens camera. You would need the Epic Pro version and will support up to lbs. So a camera and lens combo that is less than 10lbs. will work.

question

Hey guys, I'm wondering if Canon 5D Mark III would fit on this? Also, can one do 360 panorama, or is it only for 180 panorama and stitching. Thanks
Asked by: Reza
No, the GigaPan EPIC 100 Robotic Camera Mount is not designed for use with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera. For use with the 5D Mark III, you would need the larger GigaPan EPIC PRO Robotic Camera Mount, B&H # GIEPICPRO. Yes, it is possible to create 360 panoramic images with the GigaPan products.

Unfortunately the weight of the Sony PXW-FS7 video camera would exceed the 3 pound load capacity of the Gigapan Epic 100.

question

If this one is compatible with A7RII, what are the SONY FE lens can be used? can any of these lens: 16-35mm GM f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8 GM, 70-200mm f2.8 GM
Asked by: Khoivu
No it is not compatible. You have to purchase the large robot. The 100 is made for point and shoot cameras. The shutter activation arm will not fit in and the robot will not handle the weight of the camera and lenses. You also will need a very stable tripod.Harold
