PowerTap
This exclusive Anton/Bauer feature allows a camera mounted light, wireless microphone, or other DC accessory to be powered from the camera battery.
Automatique
This feature of the Gold Mount is standard with most new camcorders. A special power circuit in the Gold Mount mates with the VTR roll signal in the camera/camcorder allowing an Ultralight-2 to turn on/off automatically in sync with the recorder.
InterActive Viewfinder
The Gold Mount includes a special InterActive contact that transmits the fuel computer signal from a DIGITAL battery to the viewfinder "Fuel Gauge" included in many cameras/camcorders.

screw holes arent spaced correctly

This wont attach to the wooden camera directors monitor cage. It has the 4 corner screw holes, but it doesnt have the additional two screw holes that are located more towards the center. These are required to mount this to lots of accessories. It also only has one D-Tap. Id spend the extra 25 bucks and get the wooden camera version. Im returning this one.

Used as a backup in case one of our plates breaks (very unlikely) or we need to rig one with some additional connections or something. Works like it should.

Can this be attached to a zacuto Swiss Plate?

This plate has the industry standard mounting hole configuration. The Zacuto Zwiss Plate V2 B&H # ZAZZWP2 has that configuration amongst several others.

Can this be used with a C100 mark 1, if I get a P-tap to Canon C100 power converter?

Yes, you can use a power tap / d-tap to DC barrel adapter to power the C100 from a brick battery. IndiPRO Tools D-Tap to DC Barrel Cable for Canon C100 (24 ) is an example of such an adapter.
