Smith-Victor Spring Clamp Reviews
MINI SPRING CLAMP
Very strong tension on the clamp. The only downside is that the clamp jaws are very sharp and are not insulated so if you are clamping down XLR cables like I'm using it for, the jaws could eventually puncture the XLR cable's insulation and ruine the cable.
Great but not for holdingfragile objects
I use these clamps (Mini 4 Smith-Victor) to hold light reflectors in place (photo). The textile of the reflectors has a tough time resisting the pressure these clamps exert. I can hardly open them with one hand (and I am a 33 years old man). The plastic casing covering the tips wears off after a few uses, and the exposed metal further increases the chance of damage. The clamp is attached to its plastic base by a single screw, which loosens when rotated. A screwdriver is necessary to tighten the screw, because unfortunately the grooves on its head do not fit coins. Other than that, these are decent clamps for holding hard objects.
