Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but not for holdingfragile objects I use these clamps (Mini 4 Smith-Victor) to hold light reflectors in place (photo). The textile of the reflectors has a tough time resisting the pressure these clamps exert. I can hardly open them with one hand (and I am a 33 years old man). The plastic casing covering the tips wears off after a few uses, and the exposed metal further increases the chance of damage. The clamp is attached to its plastic base by a single screw, which loosens when rotated. A screwdriver is necessary to tighten the screw, because unfortunately the grooves on its head do not fit coins. Other than that, these are decent clamps for holding hard objects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pony on a pole Nice to have if your not shooting a Wall Street funded documentary or feature film and have a full crew with Grips and PAs catering to your every whim. Works great for just us po' folk who don't have all the amenities. I'm sixty-seven and don't have a problem working the clamps on these babies. Maybe cause' it's those "stress balls" I've been squeezin'. LOL

Rated 4 out of 5 by from handy accessory clamp The clamp I received varies slightly from the illustration. What I got is plastic with two orange pivoting flat parts at the end, so the tips can remain parallel as the jaws open. The spring is strong enough to use it in reverse: that is, put the spring clamp around a vertical pole and put a lightweight fixture on a 5/8 stud in the stud clamp. I used it to hold up a 4-AA flash to the side of a pole at a photo shoot, and it worked well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built. Perfect kit piece. Since purchasing this I've used it multiple times in multiple different ways. Great for street shooting kit, or in studio. Until B&H starts selling extra hands I'm stuck with only two.. this well concieved clamp with a perfect sized 3 hole box with the screw tight thingy is that extra hand in so many situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong and versatile. I use one or two of these to stand up a large (6' tall) diffuser. Clamps tight, and flexible to as to be used at any angle (I use mine with a thread adapter on a microphone stand).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reflector Card Holder I use these along with a multiclip to attach a reflector card to a light stand.
