Shure SE535 Reviews

Super Sound!

Lightweight, amazing sound out of these little buds. Finally had my first flight in over 2 years and these SE535 rocked it. Great noise cancellation to drown out the ambient noises on an airplane. Just the steady hum of the plane's engines was heard/felt during my 2 1/2 hr. flight. Comfortable fitting buds that are impressive in their transparency to the listener. Thanks B&H!

Major letdown

I expected better sound. I'm not a bass head, and found the bass a little thin. I did have the right eartips on. I think the Sony WF-1000XM3 sounded a lot fuller and was a lot cheaper too and has ANC. They just don't do it for me.

I haven't used it yet but I have a pair of SE3 and the sound was spacious coming from small in ear phones. The foam isolates noise, I can hear bump when touching cables. Got a good deal so easy purchase.

Previously, I used a Sennheiser mx980, Sony WI-1000x, and Shure was the first purchase. The first feeling I used was that the sound was boring. The bass is definitely lacking. You will not be satisfied with music that emphasizes bass such as club music or hip-hop. Instead, it sounds very good at mid and high frequencies. If you enjoy vocal-oriented music, you will be very satisfied. It also goes well with Jazz, who need proper bass and high frequencies. I think it suits the classics. I really like the fact that both Bluetooth and wire connection are supported. In conclusion, the SE-535 ltd is an earphone that sounds honest without exaggeration.

Clear, balanced sound

Fit my ear easily and well. Have a nicely balanced sound from all frequencies. My only frustration is that my puppy decided it was a chew toy after they somehow fell out of my bass guitar case!!!

superb, but only with a DAC headphone amplifier

I've owned the Shure SE425 in-ear headphones and the SE535 for some time now. I love the clear and non-bass reproduction of the Shure SE425, on my iPhone 6s especially in conjunction with the In-Line Remote/Mic Cable. When paired with the Bluetooth 5.0 Communication Cable, the bass is much more pronounced, almost too much for me! The Shure SE535 headphones sound warmer, the frequency response may score better in tests, but in conjunction with my iPhone I prefer the SE425. However, things are different when pairing my Android phone with a DAC headphone amplifier: Here, the Shure SE535 headphones clearly show their strengths compared to the SE425. Without a DAC headphone amplifier, however, you can spare yourself the additional costs.

what is the width of the flexible cable (not the plug which is 3.5mm)?
Asked by: Franklin
I am not sure I completely understand your question. If you could rephrase that it would be extremely helpful. Specs for the EAC64CL - (Clear 3.5mm cable that is included) The cable it's self is 64 inch long. The part of the cable that loops around your ear is 3 inches long. The diameter is 1/8 of an inch wide.

question

how do the se535 compare to the se215 earphones?
Asked by: Anonymous
To me the se535 is the best sounding earbud I have ever used. I listen to my music at no less than 44k and up to 192k. I get the fullness and quality of sound better than I ever have. Unfortunately everyone is different. Some people claim to not hear the difference between an MP3 and HD music. So if that's the case you probably wouldn't notice the difference in the earbuds either. For me though I highly recommend the se535. Good luck.

question

How are these compared to the SHURE SE846, the difference is too big?
Asked by: Rodolfo
I found the difference big, although not sure price difference is completely justified. But, 846's have more bass, can play much louder and still get full, clear sound. Having bought both ,(they fit my ears better than other brands) I would not go back to the 535's; the 846's are much more involving. Hope that helps.
