The NG-60 Altazimuth Refractor Telescope from Meade is an entry-level non-computerized refractor - it's cost-effective price-point and simple -to-operate mount make it an excellent choice for novice astronomers. When paired with an optional erect-image diagonal, the NG-60 can also be used as a terrestrial spotting scope.
Featuring a focal length of 700 mm and a clear aperture of 60 mm, the NG-60 delivers clear views of the Moon's surface details, Saturn's rings, Jupiter's cloud belts and moons, as well as bright star clusters, double stars, and nebulae.
This kit is packaged with the NG-60, a sturdy tripod, a manual altazimuth mount with slow-motion controls, a 90° diagonal, a 9 mm eyepiece and a 25 mm eyepiece, as well as a red-dot finderscope. Additionally, a DVD with maps of popular objects to view is also included. The Expedition backpack can be used to store and transport the entire viewing kit safely and easily.
