E-MU 1212M PCIe - Digital Audio System

The 1212M PCIe from E-MU is a 12 input, 12 output audio/MIDI interface and hardware DSP acceleration system for Windows computers. It includes 2 user installable PCIe cards and a comprehensive selection of audio software. Once installed, the cards enable you to record up to 12 tracks of audio simultaneously (using the analog line, optical ADAT and coaxial S/PDIF inputs). An arsenal of E-MU plug-ins are included that are designed to utilize the built-in hardware DSP accelerators.

The system uses the same A/D converter chips found in Avid's Pro Tools HD 192 interface, so you can be sure it provides exceptional audio quality. The cards are seamless compatibility with most Windows audio/sequencer software, while the system also ships with ASIO2 and WDM drivers for Windows XP, XP x64, Windows Vista and Vista x64. The E-MU Production Tools software bundle includes E-MU's Proteus X LE, plus software by Steinberg, Ableton, IK Multimedia, and more - everything you need to create, record, edit, master and burn your music to CD.

The system features a powerful E-DSP chipset, a hardware-accelerated effects processor with over 28 effects plug-ins. This effects architecture is fully expandable, allowing you to add more effect plug-ins to your system as needed. E-DSP also provides zero-latency, hardware-based mixing and monitoring via the included PatchMix DSP mixer, delivering unmatched flexibility in routing audio between all of your physical and virtual (ASIO/WDM) inputs and outputs, with no external mixer needed.
