The Mamiya DM33 Digital Camera System brings photographic industry leaders Schneider, Phase One and Leaf together to produce a high-end versatile digital camera system. The DM33 features a 33 Megapixel sensor that when matched with great optics results in exquisitely detailed image files. The large 48 x 36mm sensor, coupled with a 16 bit/channel color palette, provides exceptional color accuracy and rich high dynamic range photographs in just a single capture.
The camera has two user-selectable shutter systems; focal plane and leaf shutter. The included Sekor AF 80mm f/2.8 LS D lens with leaf shutter allows for high-speed flash synchronization to fill in or overpower even the brightest ambient light. Sekor 55mm, and 110mm LS D lenses with leaf shutters are also available. For more conventional situations, photographers can choose to use one of 15 Mamiya lenses from 28mm to 300mm APO designed for use with the camera's focal plane shutter system. The DM33 also has a lightning-fast autofocus system.
Mamiya offers powerful software options for this imaging system. You have the flexibility of processing files using either of the included software solutions; Capture One by Phase One or Leaf Capture. You can also use Adobe Lightroom (not included) in order to process RAW files. The Mamiya DM33 is a very modular camera system for the ultimate in versatility. Using optional adapters, the digital back can be used with a view camera or the Mamiya RZ.
