The Nuendo 5 Expansion Kit (NEK) from Steinberg is an optional add-on package for Nuendo 5 that brings the music tools of Cubase 5 to the Nuendo 5 media production platform. NEK provides full notation features, a Drum Editor for MIDI drums, 8 VST virtual instruments, and features outstanding new tools for creating beats, generating exciting new rhythms, and working with loops.

The Expansion Kit also makes Nuendo 5 completely compatible with all Cubase projects, ideal for Cubase/Nuendo workflows. The separate NEK license on the Steinberg Key adds portability, allowing NEK functionality to be added to any Nuendo 5 system for sessions where the expansion kit would not otherwise be available.
