    WindTech MM-50 reviews

MM-50 Mic-Muff Fitted Fur Windscreen is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Necessary for outdoor recording This item is absolutely necessary for outdoor recording, although it is a very tight fit on my recorder. I suppose that over time and with usage, this windsock will loosen its grip. The price of this item was about half that of similar items, but the quality seems equal. Wind is always a challenge, and this windsock is not perfect but it does filter out most resonably strong winds. It won't filter out a hurricane, but in that situation you probably shouldn't be standing outside anyway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tight fit on the Tascam DR-07 Mk. II I bought this windscreen as a more reasonably priced alternative to another one offered for the DR-07 MK II.In my recording experience, these hairy type microphone windscreens do a better job that the open-celled foam type.It was tough to get this one over the dual mike design of the DR-07. I eventually got it to fit, but was a little concerned about damaging the microphones. I'd like to see this mounting band widened out just a bit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as advertised You know, a wind sock is a wind sock is a wind sock. Screen, dead kitten, whatever. I love WindTech because it's American made, price point is great and they just work. It's a bear to put on though...fits good, not great, but works, so I endure the slightly less than stellar ease of putting it on (hence the 4 stars). Given that though, I don't think you could really make it any easier to apply as then the elastic might not hold as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for outdoor recordings! I use it for recordings in ecological reserves near the city. It works fine and cuts the noise of the wind. Fits fine in a Tascam DR-07 and doesnt occupies too much space.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from expensive but valuable looks to fit well, but for what it is, it is a bit expensive... as are all the windscreens I have seen

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful It is size-convenient and useful. Not a full wind blocker, but will help with soft and medium winds.
