    Transcend StoreJet 25D3 reviews

500GB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive (Iron Gray) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing External Used for making backups and taking off-site, these StoreJet units are robust, small & light and now with the USB 3.0 port future proof. I also purcahsed the USB 3.0 PCIe card and have been getting some great transfer speeds making the waiting times fly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great So Far - Extremely Fast I have been using this to move AVCHD videos from one computer to another and it is super fast. Like the ruggedized feel of the drive, only wish the USB 3.0 cable that comes with it would have been longer. It is only about 12 inches or less so doesn't give many options on where you can put the drive while using it. Most desktops' USB 3.0 are via expansion card and are at the back of the computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from StoreJet 25M3 External Hard Drive (500GB LOVE IT! My laptop doesnt have the USB3 speed that this drive offers, however it still transfered files quickly enough to make me a very happy camper.I transfered 5 files containing 416 photos size 2.796 GB in 4.46 minutes. 22 Video files ranging from 13secs to 2.20secs in 8 min and 12 secs. Some of you might not think this is all that great, but for me this is great. Im using this drive as a backup to all of my photos and vids. All I care about is the safe keeping of those files. this drive is shock and water proof, geez you do not need anything else. I havent used the one touch backup feature yet, I just clicked and dragged everything over. But the drive has files made for your personal docs that when you push that little red button it will send your items over to the file it created. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their memories safe. Extremely quiet. No Cons that I can see.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Since I am not very Tech-y... We are using it to backup a laptop, so that we can change to the new operating system that is now available & needed. I am very positively impressed with the small & lightweight but very durable & tough design. It is a little challenging for me to figure out. It seems to have changed settings on the computer, as in re-arranged or perhaps moved off the computer some things I did not want moved. I am still trying to figure this out...hopefully I will find the stuff that seems to be missing and get it back where I want it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Transcend Meets Need Since starting to take pictures in RAW format, my file sizes have outstripped the thumb drives which have been used for a year or so. The Transcend HD has the capacity to back up a lot more pictures and at a price per Gig that is muchless than thumb drives. The hardened case is nice protection from bumps as the HD is stored off premisis. The included backup software does not run on my old XP system, but no great loss if one does not need encrypting or password protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for backup Slim, fast and nearly indestructible. Just what I needed to vault my Aperture files. I didn't really like the two cables. One looks neater. But that is a niggling aesthetic issue and has no bearing on function. I find this fast, easy to use and precisely what I required for a secondary backup for photos on my MacBOOK pro. Second level of protection beyond my time machine. And and easy transfer of files if I need to offload a large batch for a client.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Video users beware The Drive overall is nice but if you have a file over 4GB then this drive is your worse nightmare because you will not be able to transfer your files over. I use the drive as a portable drive for a TV Show. Anyone that works with video knows that raw files are a lot of time over 4GB so when looking for a portable drive this is not the one for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protect the USB port This is a great drive for transfer storage, not long term, but when you're on a shoot and are traveling or sending this drive over mail, then this is wonderful. The only part of the drive that is not durable is the USB port. I've already broken one because I was too rough with the port.
