The FreeAgent GoFlex TV HD Media Player from Seagate is a digital media player that allows you to enjoy all of your digital media -- photos, videos, and music -- on your HDTV. It offers support for 1080p HD video, and can connect to your TV and receiver with HDMI and Optical S/PDIF. It also supports analog output via component and composite.
The player features a wired Ethernet port for network connectivity. You'll also be able to add an optional USB Wi-Fi adapter. Either option will allow you to stream media from any computer or NAS drive on your network. If you'd like to add local storage to the player, you can dock an ultra-portable Seagate GoFlex or GoFlex Pro drive with ease. You can also connect standard hard drives via the player's USB 2.0 port.
In addition to digital media playback, the GoFlex TV is compatible with a wealth of online streaming services. Netflix subscribers will be able to use it to watch items from their Instant Queue. It can also display content from YouTube, Flickr, Picasa, Paramount, and more!
